Indian Flag
Every free country in the globe flies a different flag. It stands for a nation that is free. A few days prior to India's independence from the British on August 15, 1947, the Constituent Assembly met on July 22, 1947, and the current version of the National Flag of India was adopted. Between 15 August 1947 and 26 January 1950, it was the national flag of the Dominion of India; from that day on, it was the flag of the Republic of India. The Indian national flag is referred to as the "tricolor" in that country.
